A Calgary man is dead after a collision between a car and a pickup truck, south of Chestermere.
RCMP say a Toyota Corolla didn’t stop at a stop-sign and collided with the truck at the intersection of range Road 284 and Township Road 240.
The father of the passenger in the truck, a 26-year-old woman, says his daughter’s boyfriend was driving at the time of the crash.
He says she thought her hip was broken, but ran to a nearby house to get help.
“So far I know she has some internal bleeding in her side and stuff like that, but she’s alive thank God,” he says.
He tells 660News the victim was a Calgary resident and owned a local concrete business.
The driver of the car remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate, and say charges are pending.
