B.C. skateboarder goes to world speed record

A 28-year-old Vernon man is trying to skateboard his way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Last week, Mischo Erban tried to set the world record for fastest skateboard speed, but came just shy of 130 kilometres per hour.
His speedy skateboarding really took off when he was at the University of British Columbia and needed to get to class quickly and conveniently.
He says when he’s going over 100 kilometres per hour and falls, he just tries to avoid falling directly on an arm or leg.
