3rd Annual Pancake Showdown heats up 4th Street

Griddles will be hot on 4th Street S.W. for the 3rd Annual Pancake Showdown Thursday morning as seven contenders square off to see who can cook the best flapjack.

The seven teams include representatives from the Calgary police, Original Joe’s, Mission Diner, and the Sheldon Chumir Health Clinic.

The main event corral and voting station will be at 1912 4th Street southwest from 9 a.m. until noon.

For the kids there’s a balloon artist, face painting, games and gifts to keep them entertained.
