A former senior city manager is taking his boss to court.
The Calgary Sun reports Stan Schwartzenberger launched a $640,000 lawsuit claiming he was wrongfully fired four weeks ago and defamed in the process.
His statement of claim says he was fired the day after Rollin Stanley took over as general manager of the Planning, Development and Assessment Department.
Then, he says his boss sent out a couple short emails saying he was “no longer with the company” leaving the impression he was terminated due to a lack of competence.
