Calgary reservists honoured for service

Four long serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces officially retired following a ceremony in Calgary.
The “Depart With Dignity” retirement ceremony was held at the northeast Armoury from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The retiring members were all commanding officers of Calgary’s 14th Service Battalion and have 125 years of service collectively.
100 guests were expected to commend the four men for their service to our country Saturday afternoon.
The four reservists include Colonel Doug Stinson and Lieutenant-Colonels J.J. Martin, Gail Haight and Brian Doherty.
