Motorcycle rider remembered after fatal collision

Compassionate and caring is how family and friends describe the 45-year-old motorcyclist who was killed by a drunk driver Sunday morning.
Tony Harrison died when a van veered into his lane, hitting the motorbike he was driving along 17th Avenue S.E. near Stoney Trail.
Harrison had cheated death once before and loved ones believed he was a walking miracle.
His sister Karen tells The Calgary Sun in 1994, he survived being shot point-blank in a robbery at a northeast pub.
Harrison’s recovery prompted him to work with Calgarians struggling with brain injuries and with various special needs groups around the city.
Kelly James York, 42, faces impaired driving causing death and hit and run charges and will appear in court Monday.
