Counterfeit I.D.’s in Calgary causing trouble

Calgary is becoming a magnet for fake pieces of government identification and authorities say they’re seeing an increase in counterfeit cards.
A joint investigation has been launched into the cards, which are mostly driver’s licenses but also credit cards, found on a daily basis by border guards.
According to The Calgary Herald, the cards typically come from China and are hidden in packages containing other goods.
It’s believed underage kids are using the fake I.D.’s for entry into bars or to drive vehicles but they can also be used to rent, and then steal, vehicles or to commit other forms of theft or fraud.
