Body of missing swimmer pulled from Bow River

The body of a swimmer who went missing Wednesday night has been pulled from the Bow River.

It was located by Cochrane RCMP along with a commercial diving unit at noon Friday in 23 feet of water just east of where the swimmer had last been spotted.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death and the name of the victim is not being released at this time.

The 21-year-old man drowned after struggling to swim across the river with a friend.
