GlobalFest will light the sky tonight

The sky in Calgary will light up with fireworks tonight, despite the rain.
GlobalFest continues at Elliston park and organizers say it takes more than a little rain to shut down the fireworks and multi cultural festival down.
“Biggest weather concerns for us would be strong winds and electrical activity in the sky, so lightning, thunder, that kind of stuff. The rain really isn’t a big issue for us aside for the fact that it dampens the park a little bit,” said Niki Macaraeg, Associate Producer of GlobalFest.
Tonight the American team is featured, their show is called “Pops in the Park”.
