Man sentenced in violent sex assault

A Calgary man will spend the next seven years behind bars after sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

The court heard 28-year-old Mohamed Hassan Farah beat his ex-girlfriend, and then sexually assaulted her after he broke into her home in December 2009.

Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Barb Romaine says Farah shows no remorse and no acceptance of responsibility.

The Calgary Sun reports the victim suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.
