Man arrested in connection with Dover shooting

A man has been arrested in connection a deadly shooting in southeast Calgary.

A charge of second degree murder is pending against the man in the death of 27-year-old Amy Sands.

She was shot at a home in Dover last Friday in what the Calgary Police Service says was a targeted attack but she was not the intended victim.

Sands was the daughter of an Okotoks town councillor. Her father told 660News she had fallen in with a bad crowd as she struggled with addiction.
