Man charged after foot assaults

Calgary police have charged a 21-year-old man in a strange case involving women’s feet.    

Investigators say over the past year, eight women have had their feet, inappropriately touched by a man who said he was admiring their pedicure.

Detective Jim Hands says the suspect approaches the women in mall or grocery store parking lots and said he wanted to get similar nail work for his wife or girlfriend and then touched their foot in an inappropriate way as he went in for a closer look.

“The allegation of licking occurs in one of the four assaults which he is charged, most of them were more distraught and taken aback then physically assaulted,” said Det. Hands.

Mateusz Trojanowski, 21 faces one sexual assault charge and three other counts of assault.
