Cancer scam suspect back in Calgary

A Calgary man arrested in Victoria in connection with a fraudulent fundraising scam, is back home earlier than expected.
Due to a change in scheduling, 28-year old Kristopher Nicholas Cook arrived on a charter plane at 3 p.m. Saturday and was then handed over to police for processing.
He was originally supposed to be brought back Monday.
Last week, Calgary Police issued a warrant for Cook, who they say faked having cancer.
Friends helped organize a fundraiser for him at Broken City last summer where thousands of dollars was raised.
Some of those who attended became suspicious soon after, questioning whether Cook actually had cancer.
