Google eTown award honours Canmore

Canmore, Alberta is among five Canadian towns being recognized with a small business award by Google.

Moncton, New Brunswick; Dorval, Quebec; Parry Sound, Ontario; and Duncan, British Columbia are also receiving the Google eTown award for places in Canada “embracing a digital economy.”

The award recognizes leading towns that are investing in online tools to grow business and improve operations.

Google singles out Canmore’s pest control company, Progressive Maintenance, for its use of the internet to interact with customers.

The awards will be formally presented in October.
