Calgary’s economic rank grows

Calgary’s thriving economic reputation continues; an index now ranks Cowtown at number 23 in a list of the world’s major financial centres.
The Calgary Sun reports the city is up five spots since it first ranked in March of this year.
The Z/Yen group’s Global Financial Centre Index recognizes 77 of the world’s major economic centres.
The city has experienced a massive financial boom in the past decade.
Over 13,000 jobs have been created in Calgary over ten years, an increase of 39 per cent.
