IBD flu shot study

Calgary researchers are studying the effects of certain immunosuppression medication on the flu shot.

People with Inflammatory Bowel Disease are often given these drugs, but mixing it with influenza vaccine could be damaging the effectiveness of both.

So a study is being launched.

Researchers are looking for 20 children and 130 adults with IBD taking the drug infliximab to participate beginning October 15th.
