More snow is on the way

A snowfall warning has been issued for a large area of southern Alberta and it includes the city of Calgary as well.

Some parts of the foothills could see as much as 25 centimetres fall over the next 24 hours.

660’s Meteorologist David Spence says a low pressure system tracking from Wyoming to Saskatchewan is too blame.

Calgary is in the northwest quadrant of that system and can expect 10 to 15 centimetres of snow.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall in the Claresholm and Brooks regions.
