Discovery of body, human head may be message from gang

Two recent discoveries of human remains in the Edmonton area may be gang related.

A decapitated body was found in the community of Ranfurly east of Edmonton last Saturday beside a running pickup truck.

A human head was then found by a woman out walking her dog in an Edmonton alleyway Wednesday morning.

Edmonton police have not released the results of the autopsies and cannot yet confirm the link between the two discoveries.

The Calgary Sun reports the body parts may have been a message to a rival gang.
