Son charged with murder had difficult relationship with dad

Facebook messages suggest a man charged with second degree murder had a strained relationship with the father he’s accused of killing.

Aaron Guilbault made several posts about his adoptive father, Tim Guilbault, calling him the ‘devil’.

The 58-year-old Calgary man was found dead Monday at a cabin in Innisfail by his daughter.

Tim’s brother Jim tells The Calgary Herald Aaron was the one staying at the cabin, and the victim was trying to help Aaron work through his issues.

The Calgary Sun reports Guilbault was set to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding this weekend. She’s postponed her wedding and is now preparing for her father’s funeral.
