Rental rules leaving pets out in the cold

It’s a tight rental market in Calgary, and pets are paying the price.

Animal abandonment’s are on the rise, with owners unable to find pet-friendly rental properties.

The Calgary Humane Society tells the Calgary Herald, officers have dealt with more than 150 abandonment cases.

The Daisy Foundation, an animal advocacy group, also says it’s been dealing with its worst year ever in terms of abandoned or seized animals.
