Calgary airport fees on the rise

Passengers at the Calgary International Airport will have to pay more money starting March 1, 2013.

Airport improvement fees, included in the price of a ticket, will be going up to $30 from $25.

The change means Calgary will be tied with Fort McMurray for the second-highest fees in the country.

The Calgary Herald reports, only Bathurst, New Brunswick charges more at $40 per departing flight.

The fees do not apply to connecting passengers.
