Plane crash in Three Hills

Some scary moments for the passengers in a plane in central Alberta Tuesday morning.

Just after 9 a.m. a plane was coming from La Crete and attempting to land at the Three Hills Airport.

The plane landed short of the runway, damaging the landing gear and the left wing of the single-engine Piper Meridian.

A passenger on board received minor injuries but, the pilot and another passenger walked away unharmed.

Authorities from the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified and will be attending the scene.
