Alberta has named new provincial representatives to Ottawa and Washington.
Calgary lawyer Alan Ross will take over the position in Ottawa while former President of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producer’s, David Manning, is off to Washington.
Manning says there’s no shortage of people for him to talk to when he hits the U.S. capital.
“There are a number of key audiences, we know who they are, we’ve been working those, Alberta’s been working those for a period of time, the Premier has addressed them but there’s more to be done,” he says.
Advocating for expanded market access for Alberta’s oil and gas is the primary responsibility for both envoys.
