Premier Redford to announce new cancer clinic
The premier is reportedly poised to announce a long-called for Calgary Cancer Clinic.
Alison Redford has a news conference scheduled for 9:00 Friday morning to make a major health infrastructure announcement about cancer care at the Foothills Medical Centre in the city’s northwest.
She will be joined by Health Minister Fred Horne and leaders from the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Alberta Health Services.

The Herald reports the cancer centre will be built over several years with planning money to come in the March 7th provincial budget.
The Tom Baker Cancer Centre has been at maximum capacity for more than a decade and for years the debate has raged over whether to expand it or replace it.
