Crime down on CTrains

Calgarians are safe riding the rails.

That’s according to stats by Calgary Transit that show crime on the LRT dropped across the board last year.

According to The Calgary Sun, the number of incidents reported is the lowest it’s been since they started recording the numbers in 2007.

Alderman Ray Jones attributes the drop to a more visible and increased presence of transit officers.

Officials say the progress is encouraging, but they still want to focus on minimizing violent crimes on CTrains.
