Owner of Hose & Hound pub not in negotiations for building ownership

The City of Calgary is in negotiations with some one other than the Hose & Hound pub owner for ownership of Old Fire Hall #3.

The heritage building is in Inglewood and was assessed at $1.49 million.

Chuck Rose guesses the city is speaking with the highest bidder and that is not him, but he says that’s fair.

He now wonders what will happen to his fire hall pub.

“I don’t want to loose my pub.  You know if there is anyway I can keep my pub alive I want to.  So if it’s leased, if someone will take me in as a partner or whatever, I will do what ever it takes just as long as it is legal and I can afford it to keep my pub alive.”
