Two men charged with domestic human trafficking

Two Calgary men under the age of 20 are facing a string of charges related to the human trafficking two young women.
The investigation started after a disturbance at a city hotel where in one room officers found a 17-year-old girl.
Further investigation determined another woman, a 19-year-old, was also being held against her will.
Calgary police say the younger victim was pushed into prostitution to pay off a debt owed to the two men, while the other victim met up with the two by chance and was forced into prostitution.
There doesn’t appear to be any other victims, and the two women never met or knew each other.
Abdallah Amer, 18, and Balal Jeha, 19, have been charged with:
· living off the avails of a prostitute under the age of 18
· living off the avails of a prostitute
· trafficking in a minor
· trafficking in persons over 18
· receiving material benefit from trafficking in persons
· procuring a person under 18 to become a prostitute
· unlawful confinement
