Petition at Suncor offices in Calgary

Greenpeace is demanding more answers following the leak of 2,200 barrels of toxic water into the Athabasca River last month.

Friday some members with the environmental group are going to deliver a 40 foot long petition containing the signatures of 16,000 people to the corporate head quarters of Suncor in downtown Calgary.

Spokesman Mike Hudema says they are not asking for a full blown probe just clarification on some of the details surrounding the environmental mishap.

He says most of the signatures on the petition were collected on-line.
