Pedophile could get 15 years behind bars

A Calgary man who pleaded guilty to a long list of charges for sex crimes could be handed a prison term of up to 15 years.

Roderick Kyle Janssen sexually assaulted two young boys he met while he was a church volunteer and youth counsellor, using several others to make child pornography.

Police say the 36-year-old also had a massive child porn collection on his computer that he shared with other pedophiles.

Janssen’s psychiatrist argues he remains at a high risk to re-offend.

His sentencing hearing continues Friday.
