Calgary police are on the hunt for a blue minivan following a reported abduction attempt in the northeast community of Temple.
Duty Inspector Darrell Hess tells 660News an eight year old was walking in the 100-block of Templeton Close just before 7:30 Friday evening when she noticed a mini-van, driven by man, was following her.
“This male proceeded to grab her from behind, but the victim was in a position to fight back. And as she did, the suspect proceeded to flee in the van,” explains Hess.
Hess says police quickly descended on the area but could not locate the van, or the suspect who is described as dark-skinned, middle-aged, and wearing a black shirt and shorts.
