A school in Lakeview had to be evacuated this morning after flames broke out in a bus in the parking lot.
The blaze happened at St. James Elementary and Junior High around 11 a.m.
Fire Spokesperson Carol Henke tells 660News, it was an employee that noticed smoke coming from the bus parked outside.
“All the children quickly exited the school and went to their muster point, and then were re-located to a church nearby. Fire crews arrived, the school bus was fully involved, and they immediately started their suppression.” She says.
No one was on the bus at the time.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
