Three charged in human trafficking case

Three men from Montreal are facing various charges after a prostitution ring was busted in downtown Calgary.
Police say officers made the arrests Thursday, May 30th, after they conducted a sting operation at a local hotel.
Police say two women, aged 17 and 19 were advertising for sex online.
Officers met the 17 year-old at the hotel, where she broke down and asked for help.
Staff Sgt. Robert Rutledge says police believe the suspects had packed up their belongings and were on the move when they were nabbed.
“Where they were going, we’re not sure, but we believe these individuals have other girls out there working for them, so, we’re vigourously investigating that aspect of it,” he says.
One of the victims had only known the men for over a week and police say she was being “psychologically imprisoned”.
