Mosquitoes munching on Calgary

An onslaught of mosquitoes has Calgarians itching for relief.
Officials say standing water and warmer weather are contributing the influx of the pests around the city.
James Borrow with the city tells The Calgary Sun it’s pretty typical for this time of year.
The bugs hatch their eggs in very shallow bodies of water in ditches, roadsides and fields and June’s rainy weather is the perfect breeding ground.
Alberta Health Services reminds the public to wear bug spray, and wear long-sleeved shirts and pants if you have to be outside at dusk and dawn.
