2014 Calgary Stampede poster chosen

The 2014 poster for the Calgary Stampede has been unveiled.
The poster features the heavy horse; a symbol of strength, endurance and grace and was commissioned by local artist Adeline Halvorson.
Halvorson says she’s honoured to have been chosen, and the working horse is one of her favourite subjects to paint.
She tells The Calgary Sun, it’s also a great representation of Calgary’s strength banding together after the flood.
The 2014 artwork will be on display at the western oasis until it’s sold at the western art auction next Thursday.
