Attendance for Stampede down

It may not be a surprise, but attendance at the first two days of the 101st Stampede was down from last year.

67,615 people attended on Friday, down nearly 41 thousand people from the 108,455 who visited on the same day in 2012.

In 2011, 81,625 people attended on July 5th.

Keep in mind, last year was the Stampede Centennial.

Officials were hoping Saturday attendance numbers would be different.

92,270 visitors walked through the gates, compared to the 135,252 on the same day last year, and 117,860 two years ago.

That’s 42,982 less then last year on July 6th.

As of Saturday, the number of people who’ve visited the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is 186,771, compared to the 282,735 people in 2012 for this time last year and 236,128 in 2011.
