“Glee” star Cory Monteith found dead in Vancouver hotel room

The Vancouver Police department held a press conference on Saturday night to confirm the death of actor Cory Monteith.

His body was found in a hotel room at Vancouver’s Pacific Rim Hotel Saturday afternoon. The 31-year old was the star of Fox’s “Glee”.

Monteith was born in Calgary but raised in Victoria.

He was in a relationship with his Glee co-star, American actress Lea Michele.

In March, he voluntarily admitted himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction. He had previously received substance abuse treatment over a decade earlier, when he was 19-years old. He checked out of the rehab facility in April.

Foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
