The 2014 Olympic Hockey Tournament promises to be another exciting affair.
Friday the NHL confirmed its players will participate in the Sochi Games in Russia.
Calgary Sun sports columnist and Jack FM morning co-host Eric Francis says after a lot of posturing by those involved, the right decision was made.
The right thing for everybody involved to do and it just took a little bit of extra time to make it happen. It’s a great day for hockey but it’s not one that will send people to the streets celebrating” says Francis.
Francis says the success of next February’s Olympic Hockey Tournament will go a long way in determining if it will happen again in 2018 in South Korea.
