The first phase of the Make History Project at Fort Calgary begins next week with the full restoration of the Deane House.
The house was built in 1906 and is named after Cpt. Deane, the last serving superintendant at Fort Calgary. It’s the only original North-West Mounted Police building in Calgary.
The project also includes the conservation of the Hunt House, the city’s oldest building in original location.
According to The Calgary Sun, the Deane House will be closed starting August 5th and murder mysteries events at the house will be moved to the barracks.
