Ex-cop in court for molesting girl

A disgraced former Calgary police officer accused of molesting a young girl is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Stephen Laurence Huggett is charged with sexual touching and sexual interference with a child under 14.

The allegations stem from incidents in the 1990’s involving a then seven-year-old girl.

The 59-year-old was also arrested in January on several charges including sexual assault and possession of child pornography.

Before that, in 2009, he served a nine month sentence for child porn.
