Two men have been arrested, and another is at large following a jewellery store robbery in Dalhousie in early January, Calgary police said on Tuesday.

Officers say it happened on Thursday, Jan. 8, when three men entered Shimoon’s Jewellers store in the 500 block of Dalhousie Drive NW.

They then smashed several glass cabinets with hammers, taking jewellery from them before fleeing and joining a fourth man — standing at the door — in a Ford F150 that was parked and running outside.

Police say the total cost of the items and damage to the store is estimated at $200,000.

The two arrested are 44-year-old Jonathan Michael Orgill and 30-year-old Austin James Florrell.

They each face one count each of robbery, breaching a release order, and possession of stolen property over $5,000. Florrell also has three additional counts of breaching a release order and being disguised with intent.
