Study will make urine testing more accurate

Researchers at the University of Alberta are unlocking secrets in your urine.
A seven-year study revealed more than 3,000 chemicals, or metabolites, can be found in a person’s pee.
According to The Calgary Sun, most medical textbooks only list 50-100 chemicals and most clinical tests only measure six to seven.
David Wishart, senior scientist at the University of Alberta, said expanding that list could be a game changer when it comes to medical testing.
Urine-based tests may now be possible for various types of cancer, celiac disease, pneumonia, and organ transplant rejection.
