Growth in Calgary’s suburbs will be the top voter concern in next month’s civic election.
According to a poll by the Calgary Herald, 24 per cent of Calgarians think managing the city’s development is the most important issue, ahead of taxes, traffic and crime.
The concerns come as city planners come up with a new system of approving which new suburban areas are given the green light.
69 per cent of respondents also say they want restriction relaxed when it comes to basement or backyard suites.
The online poll surveyed people in the city between September 11th and 17th.
