The sixth annual Alberta Culture Days is underway in many communities around the province.
It started out as a one day event and now it’s a whole weekend celebration.
Minister of Culture and Community Spirit, Heather Klimchuk, tells 660News there’s a reason to especially celebrate Alberta artists.
“It’s our history, our heritage, it’s our multi-cultural, it’s the arts and culture,” says Klimchuck, “but it’s also the non-profit and voluntary sector.”
There are a number of events going over the weekend in Calgary to celebrate Culture Days including free admission to 12 provincially-owned museums and historic sites.
