One man is dead after a crash near Okotoks.

An eastbound Ford pickup collided with a Volvo on Highway 7 Saturday afternoon.

RCMP say the Volvo had pulled out from 5th Street to turn westbound on Highway 7.

The 88-year-old driver of the Volvo was ejected upon impact, and died as a result of his injuries.

His 67-year-old passenger remains in hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the pickup was uninjured.

Police don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the collision.
