Community Wise Resource Centre celebrating renovations

Even though new tenants have moved into the old YWCA location on 2nd St. and 12th Ave. S.W., most people still call it the old “Y.”
Philip McCutcheon with the Community Wise Resource Centre said the facility is now home to some 65 different social service agencies.
He said with a renovation project now complete, it’s time to celebrate both the building and those who now call it home.
“We just finished a fairly massive restoration project at the front porch of our historic building and we wanted to celebrate that, as well as our new name,” he said.
Tours of the Community Wise Resource centre are happening Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Donations are being accepted, with proceeds benefiting the various not for profit groups.
