Ward 11 Councillor Brian Pincott wants the City to find a quicker way to tally and post votes.
Pincott tells 660News, for some reason the results seemed to take forever and as a result, he’s taken matters into his own hands.
He says, “We put scrutineers in all the polls, so that we were able to get the results as soon as they were finished counting; it seemed to take forever than for any of that to actually get on the city website.”
Pincott says in 2010, they were up until 4-4:30 in the morning waiting for the final poll, then went to bed feeling comfortable they had won and then got up a few hours later and saw a thousand votes more than when they went to bed.
He adds other jurisdictions don’t seem to have any problems, so there’s no reason we shouldn’t expect the same here.
