An Edmonton man has been slapped with a $2200 fine after keeping 38 snakes in his home.
Tanner Tirmizi, 24, pleaded guilty to possession of prohibited wildlife.
The reptiles were found in September 2012, after a police raid on the home.
Tirmizi was keeping the dangerous animals; including pythons, boa constrictors and baby rattlesnakes in the same house with his wife and two young kids.
All of the snakes had to be destroyed after concerns about disease.
