Albertans behind on condom use

A new survey finds post-secondary students in Alberta fall behind when it comes to using a condom.

In the poll commissioned by Trojan, only half of Canadian respondents said they used condoms during their last sexual encounter…

The Calgary Sun reports, even less Albertans; 45 per cent, reported using protection.

Albertans were also the least concerned about contracting sexually transmitted infections, with 67 per cent saying they’re not worried.

That’s in stark contrast to the numbers of people contracting STI’s in the province; Alberta Health tells the paper, gonorrhea and chlamydia are on the rise.
