The Better Business Bureau is out with some tips to avoid “breaking the bank” this holiday season.
It’s launched a holiday planning calculator that creates a custom-made budget tailored to a person’s income and expenses.
Camie Laird, spokeswoman with the BBB, said the tool makes people consider all of their Christmas costs.
“A lot of people, when they’re thinking about the holidays, they think about their gift giving budget. There are other things of course that fall in, weather you have to travel to go see our family, eat dinners out and other celebratory things,” said Laird.
Along with creating a budget, Llaird recommends people start shopping early, use reward points, and do research before buying big ticket items.
