Another blast of winter headed for Calgary

Winter is making a ferocious comeback on Friday, with gusty winds and snow expected.

However, Meteorologist David Spence warns the real weather event will come on the weekend.

“Saturday and Sunday’s temperatures will be well below average; -16 on Saturday, and -21 on Sunday,” he said. “Saturday night, the potential is for windchills well into the -30’s.”

Spence said we really won’t see any kind of warm up again until next week, when the temperature should get close to zero.
